CONNECTICUT — A new No. 1 team in Classes M/S has been cited in the most recent Connecticut high school girls soccer coaches poll, while two new entries cracked the top`10 in Classes LL/L.

Daniel Hand of Madison moved up two spots to the top ranking in M/S, collecting 10 of 12 first-place votes. Woodland Regional, last week's No. 1, garnered the other two top nods to finish second.

St. Joseph, with 10 first-place votes, maintained the lead in LL/L, with Staples continuing to run second. Amity Regional and Waterford joined the top 10 this week.
