Meteorologists are predicting the entire state will see snowfall this weekend. Here are the latest estimates on how much.
It's time to break out the snowblowers and shovels, as meteorologists are predicting the first widespread accumulating snowfall of the season this weekend.
Snow accumulation estimates
The National Weather Service’s Boston office is estimating the northern part of the state will get about two inches of snow, while the southern half will get between two and three inches.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut, where more precipitation is forecasted.
“The first accumulating snow of the season is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning where a few inches of snow would result in hazardous travel conditions,” the notice states.

Timeline for snow
The National Weather Service predicts snow will begin late Saturday night, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., and continue Sunday morning until around 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
WFSB has declared Sunday a “First Alert Weather Day,” due to the anticipated snowfall. It predicts the snow will taper off before noon, after between one and three inches of snow falls across Connecticut.
The station reports that Sunday will bring the first “widespread measurable snow” of the season, with the potential to impact travel on Sunday morning.
WTNH meteorologists report a “quick-moving clipper system brushes Connecticut with light snow late Saturday night and Sunday morning.” The station also forecasts snow statewide, with less snow closer to Massachusetts and more closer to the Connecticut shoreline.
It will be “slick” on the roads Sunday morning, according to WTNH, which predicts up to two inches of snow, along with isolated three-inch totals.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 23. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Saturday Night: Snow, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 25. West wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Sunday: Snow likely before 1 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 14.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 29.
