Pedestrian Struck, Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash In Seymour
A pickup truck hit a pedestrian then fled. Police are searching for the truck.
SEYMOUR, CT — A pedestrian suffered facial injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Seymour, police said.
An 18-year-old woman was walking on Bungay Road on Sunday at 6:29 p.m. She was struck by the passenger-side mirror of a pickup truck.
The vehicle, described as a gray or white pickup truck, fled. A witness told police the truck drove to Canfield Road, then Botsford Road, before accelerating and continuing onto Mountain Road.

The pedestrian suffered injuries to the right side of her face, including her cheek, teeth, and eye area. She was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries and is expected to recover, according to police.
The pickup truck may have damage to the right passenger-side mirror. Police found plastic debris they believe to be from the mirror at the scene of the accident.
