"Some showers are possible during the day, but the main event comes toward the evening commute," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "This is when heavier rain is likely with perhaps some rumbles of thunder; furthermore, a southerly wind could gust over 40 mph! Given the impact to traveling and potential for poor drainage/nuisance flooding, we’ve issued a First Alert Weather Day."

"Saturday now appears to feature dry and bright weather with temperatures running near average. Before going to bed Saturday night, set clocks ahead an hour as Daylight Saving Time begins (officially at 2am Sunday)," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "As we “spring forward,” this is also a good time to replace batteries in smoke detectors. Over the weekend, our sunrise shifts from 6:14 am Saturday to 7:12 am Sunday, and sunset shifts from 5:50 pm Saturday to 6:51 pm Sunday! Speaking of Sunday, the forecast is a bit uncertain, based on the potential development and track of an area of low pressure.
