Teen Dies In Dirt Bike Crash In Hebron
The boy was thrown from the dirt bike in the accident Sunday evening, according to state police.

HEBRON, CT — A 14-year-old is dead after a dirt bike crash in Hebron on Sunday evening, according to state police.
Erik Brooker was riding a Honda CRF150 on Burnt Hill Road at 5:25 p.m.
He lost control of the bike while attempting to negotiate an "S" curve" near Cone Road, state police said.

He went off the side of the road, striking a rocky embankment, and was thrown from the bike.
He suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to Marlborough Middlesex Clinic by Hebron EMS. He was later declared dead.

Erik was a freshman at RHAM High School in Hebron.
Regional School District 8 Superintendent Colin McNamara sent a letter to the community Monday sharing the "tragic news," according to WFSB 3-TV.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Erik’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time," the letter reads.
Counselors and therapy dogs have been made available to students.
