Teen Robbed Twice In Back To Back Days, 3 Charged: Wolcott Police

In one case, the victim said he was punched in the face with brass knuckles, and in another case a gun was displayed, police reported.

WOLCOTT, CT — Police say the same teen was robbed twice in back to back days, and three teenagers have been charged.

On Tuesday afternoon, police received a report from a concerned citizen that he saw a teenager walking through Peterson Park that was bleeding from the face area, police said.

"When asked what happened, the youth told him that he had just been robbed by two teenagers at gunpoint of his cell phone, chain, air pods and $15, and then punched in the face with brass knuckles," police said in a news release. "He went on to say that the same two teenagers had also robbed him at gunpoint yesterday taking $50."

The citizen called the police to report the incident. Through investigation both of the suspects, ages 16-17, were identified as was the vehicle they were in, police said.

Police responded to one of the suspects residences, where three occupants were observed in the vehicle, police said. Two of the teenagers in the vehicle were identified as the suspects of both robberies, police said.

The car was searched and under the driver’s seat where the third teenager was sitting was a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine and obliterated serial numbers, police said. Also found under the passenger seat where one of the robbers was sitting was another 9mm handgun that had been reported stolen out of Louisiana, police said.

All three teenagers were brought to the PD where they were processed for numerous felony charges including firearms violations, and robbery, police said. All three were transported to Hartford Juvenile Detention Center.
