These 7 Connecticut Hotels Rank Among The Best In Northeast: New Report

CONNECTICUT — Seven Connecticut hotels were rated among the best in New England by the readership of the world's premier travel magazine.

Condé Nast Traveler released its 38th annual Reader's Choice Awards this week, and inns in the Nutmeg State made a strong showing.

The compilation is a bit overwhelming, rating as it does its readership's favorite hotels, resorts, cruises, spa's, cities, airlines, luggage and more. The magazine's editors assembled their results from an "astonishing" 757,109 votes from their readership.

Although Connecticut hotels may not have close to top spots on any of the magazine's world or even national lists, hoteliers here torched their competition among the Top 24 Hotels in the Northeast, claiming nearly a third of the rungs.

The Delamar Hotel Collection was received particularly well by Condé Nast Traveler readers who awarded four of the groups' hotels with recognition.
