Tree Worker Suffers Severe Head Injuries After Falling: Reports

PLAINVILLE, CT — A tree-cutting employee suffered severe head injuries after falling from a bucket truck, according to media reports.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Hollyberry Lane in Plainville, NBC CT reported.

Initial reports say that the employee fell when the boom for the truck "failed" while he was cutting tree limbs, NBC CT reported.

He was taken to a hospital. Fox 61 reported that the person and the bucket both fell and that the employee was "partially trapped in the bucket."

OSHA is investigating. No other details have yet been released.
