On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., members of the McLean Home Care & Hospice team and the Town of Simsbury Senior and Social Services will be at the Simsbury Public Library to present “The Sandwich Generation: Addressing the Demands of Multigenerational Care.”
Nearly half of adults in their 40s and 50s are helping their parents navigate getting older – all while working and caring for younger family members at home. This workshop-style presentation is designed to support those caring for, or concerned about, aging parents. Participants will gain practical strategies for having sensitive conversations, discerning when to step in and when to step back, and exploring care options and community resources for aging parents.
Parking is available at the Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. The event will take place in the FSPL Program Room. The event is co-sponsored by the Simsbury Public Library, the Simsbury Senior Center, is free but requires an RSVP to 860-658-3273 or khaberlin@simsbury-ct.gov. Light refreshments will be served.
