Berlin Park's Field Lighting Gets Major Updgrade

BERLIN, CT —One local park's ballfields recently received a much-needed update to its field lights.

Last week, the town announced that Musco Sports Lighting put in new LED lighting at the Sage Park softball and baseball fields.

The park's fields have had the same lights for 30 years, so an update to better, more energy-efficient lights was necessary, local officials said.

"It's close to 30 years old, so we think it's about that time," wrote the town, which credited the Berlin Town Council for approving this project and the Berlin Board of Finance for appropriating the funds.
