Police Vow To Solve Cold Case Fatal Hit-And-Run: West Hartford PD
Police remind the community of a large reward being offered to help catch the suspect responsible for killing an elderly woman in 2022.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — On the third anniversary of a fatal hit-and-run that has yet to be solved, the West Hartford Police Department said it is not giving up, and it is asking the public to help.
The WHPD over the weekend reminded the public that a $26,000 reward exists for information leading to the arrest of a vehicle hit-and-run suspect who struck and killed an elderly woman in West Hartford on Dec. 20, 2022.
"Three years later, we continue to seek answers in the fatal hit-and-run that took the life of Eugenia Yurovsky," wrote the WHPD.

Despite three years of investigation, reward money, and multiple requests for help, the vehicle and suspect have yet to be found.
But, the WHPD said, it isn't quitting.
"We ask anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward," wrote the WHPD. "Information helps families. Information brings accountability."
Police said the reward is offered through the Office of Gov. Ned Lamont in partnership with the West Hartford Rotary Club.
Yurovsky's death that December was one of many fatalities during the 2022 holiday season that prompted the West Hartford Town Council to study the town's traffic/pedestrian safety situation.
Ultimately, that led to West Hartford's Vision Zero initiative aimed at eliminating fatal/serious injury incidents on local roadways and sidewalks.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the West Hartford Police Department at 860-523-5203.
