Crews used heavy chains to clean out the flue, officials said. Firefighters deployed a hose line due to the high winds and excessive embers creating an exposure concern with an attic vent, the department said.
The house was able to be reoccupied immediately, officials said. The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident.
