• Two arrested in Hartford after Berlin home invasion, car theft (fox61.com) — A Berlin homeowner on New Britain Road suffered minor injuries after confronting two men who allegedly broke into his house, stole his wallet and keys, and drove off in his car. Hartford police stopped the vehicle a few hours later, and Berlin officers arrested two 32-year-old suspects, who now face burglary, vehicle theft, and reckless endangerment charges and are being held on bond.

• From Assistant To CEO, New Foundation Leader Has Come A Long Way (patch.com) — A regional charitable foundation that serves Berlin, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, has promoted longtime staffer Kaylah Milligan to president and CEO effective Jan. 1. Milligan, who began as an administrative assistant, will guide strategy, operations, and endowment growth as the foundation continues supporting nonprofits and community initiatives in Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, and Southington.
