Griswold School Takes on National Educational Challenge
Support the school's effort by voting for their video on their 'ebrary Quest'; The school could win $30K in educational programs, services.

The students and staff at Mary E. Griswold School can use some community help.
They entered the fifth annual Follett Challenge with a video that demonstrates how they have improved reading skills and grown interest in reading through their innovative ‘ebrary quest.’
The Follett Challenge is an advocacy program designed to give educators a platform to share their stories of innovative ways to teach the skills needed in the 21st century, according to the Follett Corp. website. Follett is an educational material and technology company.
Through an online application process, which includes a 3 to 5-minute video about the program, submissions must demonstrate how the program is preparing students for the 21st century. A team of judges will review the submissions and determine which stand above the rest.
In addition to the judging, the final score is based upon the number of votes each video receives. A total of 14 winners will be chosen and will receive a total of $60,000 in educational services and products from the company. The Grand Prize winner will be chosen from the pool of semi-finalists and awarded an additional $30,000.
Out of 36 submissions from schools across the country, Griswold School is the front-runner with more than 2,100 votes as of Wednesday morning. Voting continues until midnight Feb. 12.
