Library Unveils March, Early April Adult Programs

Tax Aide: Tuesdays 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
AARP Tax-Aide, a free program, provides income tax preparation assistance for low and middle-income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to those 60 and older. Contact the reference desk to make an appointment: 860-828-7125.

Sit and Knit: March 21 at 6 p.m.
Would you like to meet some new people and sit and knit?  Join leader Gina Kahn for a relaxing knitting session.  No registration necessary.  All levels welcome.

Saturday, March 23: Play for All 10:30 a.m. to noon
All ages- Facilitated, drop-in playtime for children of all abilities.

Foreign Film: March 25 at 6 p.m.

Book Discussion: March 26 at 7 p.m.
We will be discussing The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Sendker.  All welcome.
Wednesday, March 27: Family Movie: Wreck-It Ralph (rated PG) 1:30 p.m.; all ages; drop-in. 
A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream.

Saturday, March 30: Tails of Joy: Read-to-Me Dogs 10:30 to noon; grades 1 to 5. 
Children enjoy one-on-one reading time with a specially-trained dog.  Registration begins March 18.

The Battle of Gettysburg: April 2 at 7 p.m. 
Join David Koch, Assistant Professor of History at Housatonic Community College, for an informational discussion on the Battle of Gettysburg, covering the armies and leaders of the war, as well as weapons and tactics. Please contact the library to reserve a seat.
