Lomaglio proposes freezing property taxes on Berlin's seniors

At the Town Council meeting held on November 27, 2018, Sam Lomaglio went to bat for seniors! Sam proposed freezing property taxes for all seniors. Sam Lomaglio displayed the leadership that Berlin seniors have been waiting for: go Sam Lomaglio!

"Now that I'm up here got another idea that we talked about on the Board of Finance since we're going to be discussing it. We want to give all seniors in the town of Berlin at 70 years old, we want to freeze their taxes. It doesn't matter what their income is. And we're figuring out a way where we could absorb the money. That's what we want to do. So we're gonna be talking about that the next Board meeting and then we're gonna float the idea with the Council. We have somebody working on that right now that to figure out how we can do that and recoup the money. We figure we need to recoup around $750,000."
