New Lockbox to Cut Costs for Berlin Property Tax Processing

The Town of Berlin has set up a new lockbox managed by Webster Bank to make property tax processing more cost efficient, the Hartford Courant reports. 

"It's a cost savings measure" Tax Collector David Kluczski said in the Courant. "Instead of payments being handled by our staff and then going to the bank, the payments go right to the bank in a lockbox set up just for Berlin tax payments."

This means that Berlin taxpayers should note the new tax address: Town of Berlin, P.O. Box 150410 Hartford, CT 06115-0410.

Vehicle and property taxes are due July 1, according to the town website.
