Public Hearing Set on Proposed Fire Truck Purchases
The Town Council is considering spending $1.6 million on two new fire trucks.

The Berlin Town Council voted this week to hold a public hearing before deciding whether to replace a Berlin Fire Department pumper and ladder truck at a cost of $1.6 million.
The public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 2, according to The Berlin Citizen.
Fire department officials made their plea to replace the equipment at the Jan. 12 council meeting. The 100-foot ladder truck is more than 20 years old.
