Woman Fires Gun At Another Woman At Fast Food Restaurant: Berlin PD
The incident happened at a Berlin fast food restaurant on Tuesday, April 22, but it wasn't reported until Wednesday, April 23, police said.

BERLIN, CT — A Middletown woman was taken into police custody on her birthday, Thursday, in connection with a shooting earlier this week at a Berlin Burger King.
According to the Berlin Police Department, Friday morning, Juliana Rivera, 37, of Traverse Square, Middletown, was charged Thursday with criminal attempt at first-degree assault with a firearm, first-degree threatening with a firearm, reckless endangerment, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Rivera is being held on a $250,000 bond pending an appearance in court.

The BPD said the Tuesday, April 22, shooting at the Berlin Burger King, located at 146 New Britain Road, wasn't reported to police until Wednesday, April 23.
According to police, the shooting incident involved three separate people in three separate vehicles.

"During the encounter, a female suspect pointed a handgun at another female and attempted to fire," wrote police in a statement Friday. "The firearm initially jammed, but the suspect made multiple attempts to clear the malfunction and continued trying to shoot the victim."
Police said one round was, eventually, discharged, and the victim was able to flee the scene in her vehicle, traveling north into New Britain, with Rivera in pursuit.
The BPD said Berlin detectives initiated a follow-up investigation and searched the woman's Middletown residence, resulting in an arrest warrant and Rivera being taken into custody on Thursday, April 24.
