Back To School: Bethel 2023-24 School Calendar

BETHEL, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Bethel, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Bethel Public School District.

The first day of school for most students in Bethel is Aug. 28.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Bethel Public Schools

First Day: Aug. 28

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23-24

Winter Break: Dec. 25-Jan. 1

Presidents' Day Recess: Feb. 19-20

Spring Recess: April 15-19

Proposed Last Day: June 13

This 186-day calendar includes five emergency closing days. If these days are not used, they will be deducted in June. Any additional emergency closing days, beyond the five included days, will be made up June 14-28, as needed. High School Graduation will take place no later than June 13.
If 5 or more snow days are used by Presidents' Day Recess, the District will be in session on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20.
