Bethel Commercial Building Damaged In Fire
Firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour.

BETHEL, CT ― Firefighters from the town's two volunteer fire companies battled a blaze at a construction building on Paul Street Saturday afternoon. A Facebook post from the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company said firefighters first arrived on scene after getting the call at 12:48 p.m.
Firefighters had to cut the roof open to put out the fire, and battled the blaze for an hour and a half. Nobody was injured as a result of the fire, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
The post indicated the departments were assisted by the West Redding and Brookfield Fire Departments.
