Bethel Eatery Announces Its Closing

The Greenwood Avenue restaurant had been open since March of 2014.

BETHEL, CT — A local eatery has announced that it will be closing after two years of business. Sweet n' Salado, located at 281 Greenwood Ave., announced on Aug. 11 it would be closing. The eatery had been closed since Aug. 4 due to vacations.

Owners Jim and Delfa Gay took to Facebook to thank their customers, particularly their regular weekly customers who they recognized by name.

"My wife and I would like to thank you for your loyal patronage for the past two years," read the Facebook posting."Closing our restaurant was a difficult decision for us. We truly enjoyed serving the Bethel community our fresh, made to order, burritos, tacos and Latin style dinner entrees."

According to the Bethel Advocate, the eatery opened in March of 2014. It was known for its burritos, tacos and latin delights.

"To all others that frequently visited and appreciated the concept of fresh, made for you food; thank you, thank you, thank you," read the posting.
