Bethel Hardest Hit as Overnight Storms Cause Power Loss

BETHEL, CT -- Some Bethel residents awoke to a dreary Déjà vu after a wave of thunderstorms left some Eversource customers without power in the town.

At 6 a.m., Eversource reported that 404 customers were without power, making Bethel the hardest hit in the state.

As of 8:00 a.m., just 13 Brookfield customers remain in the dark.

In May, the town was among the municipalities hit by a macroburst that left thousands without power for over a week.
