BETHEL, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Andrea Hinkson of Bethel named emergency medical technician Erin Tibbitts as a local hero. She called Tibbitts "passionate" about her life-saving work and "willing to work extended shifts in order to keep her workplace staffed during this difficult time, while also managing her household of three boys, and being the wife of a police officer."

Hinkson wants the community to know that Erin "is the most tenacious person I've ever met when pursuing her ideals."
