Bethel Mom & Daughter 'Is A Ray Of Sunshine'

BETHEL, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Wendy Russo who nominated Sherry Sabia of Bethel.

What makes your Mom extra special?

The mom I am nominating is my daughter. Not only does she take care of two children (6 and 2), but she has been my care giver for almost 4 years. Sherry has been my lifeline now taking me to doctors' appointments and helping me through 13 surgeries with number 14 coming up. Sherry is a wonderful mom to her children and a great wife.

Why do you feel this Mom deserves the spotlight?

Sherry is very caring and always willing to help others. She is a ray of sunshine.
