Bethel Municipal Center to Offer Showers, Charging Stations
Thousands of residents remain without power in Bethel following Sunday's Nor'Easter.

BETHEL, CT — Town officials will open the Municipal Center for residents without power to shower and charge their telephones. The municipal center will be open beginning at 9 a.m., and users are asked to bring their own toiletries and towels, according to a town-wide alert.
As of 5:39 p.m. Monday, 27 percent of the town remains out of power. Police also announced earlier that the following traffic impacts were in place.
- South Street from Nashville to Depot Place is closed due to poles and wires down.
- 84 Hoyts Hill Rd. is closed between Governors and Fawn Road for trees and wires down.
- 70 Wolfpits Road is closed between Sunset Hill and Codfish Hill for wires down.
- Linda Lane at Taylor Road is closed due to a tree on wires blocking the road.
- Area of 35 Rockwell Road closed between Plumtrees Road and Rte. 302.
- Rockwell Road between Plumtrees and Hoyt Road is closed due to a pine tree on wires.
- Traffic lights are out at Greenwood and Chestnut, Judd and Rte. 58, as well as Rte. 302 and Wolfpits Road.
- 200 Old Hawleyville Road and Clearview Avenue are open but wires are down in the area.
- Codfish Hill Road and Rte. 302 is open.
- Plumtrees Road between the Bethel Police Department and Maple Ave. Extension is open.
