Bethel Nonprofit Awarded $774k Grant
The group was one of 50 nonprofits statewide awarded the grants.

BETHEL, CT — A local nonprofit has been awarded a grant from the Governor's office for capital improvement projects. Ability Beyond Disability, Inc.was awarded $774,451 for Bethel renovation, Beckerle Street improvements, Tammany Trail improvements, and information technology
“By supporting capital purchases that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness, and address health, safety and accessibility issues, this grant program assists nonprofit agencies in focusing on what they do best – getting services to those who need them most,” Governor Dannel Malloy said.
The grant was a part of $15.1 million awarded to 50 nonprofit organizations statewide. The grants assist organizations with one-time infrastructure improvements that upgrade the services offered by the organizations.
