Bethel Player NEWMAC Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete Of The Week

BETHEL, CT - From Worcester Polytechnic Institute: WPI sophomore Sofia Orrico has been selected as the NEWMAC Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week. The forward was also honored as the WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week earlier in the day.
Orrico netted both goals - one in each half - as the Engineers won their first NEWMAC contest of the season Saturday versus Smith. Earlier in the week, the sophomore netted an insurance marker as the Crimson and Gray snapped a four-game skid with a 6-3 result at Roger Williams.

The sophomore is the second WPI student-athlete to be recognized this season as junior Kristen McCrea was feted for the week ending September 9.

Women's Soccer (7-4, 1-2 NEWMAC) travels to Babson (4-4-2, 1-1 NEWMAC) Tuesday afternoon for a 4pm start.
