New Milford Man Issued Summons for Multiple Motor Vehicle Violations

A New Milford man was cited for multiple motor vehicle violations following a traffic stop on Grassy Plain Street, police said.

David Scott Murphy, 43, was stopped around 3:50 p.m. on Feb. 13 near Fleetwood Avenue, where officers determined that his driver’s license had been suspended since Feb. 10, 2024.

Murphy was issued a misdemeanor summons for operating a motor vehicle under suspension, operating without a license, and operating without insurance. He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.

Bristol Woman Cited for Multiple Motor Vehicle Violations in Bethel

A Bristol woman was issued a summons for multiple motor vehicle violations following a traffic stop on Stony Hill Road, authorities said.

Allaya Hart, 28, was stopped around 10:52 a.m. on Feb. 18, when officers determined that her driver’s license had been suspended and disqualified since July 29, 2024.

Hart was cited for operating a motor vehicle under suspension, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving without minimum insurance. She was released on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Feb. 27.

Bethel Man Cited for Speeding, Driving with Suspended License

BETHEL, Conn. — A Bethel man was issued a summons for motor vehicle violations following a traffic stop on Greenwood Avenue near Front Street, authorities said.

Fernando Silva-DeSouza, 34, was stopped at 7:37 a.m. on Feb. 24 after officers observed him traveling at an unreasonably fast speed. During the stop, police determined that his driver’s license had been suspended since March 18, 2024.

Silva-DeSouza was cited for operating a motor vehicle under suspension and speeding. He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 6.
