Bethel Police Identify Tuesday Night Shooting Victim as One of Their Own
Bethel Police Department have released the identity of the shooting victim at Plumtrees Heights condos.

Bethel, CT — The Bethel Police Department has released the following statement regarding Tuesday evening's shooting at Plumtrees Heights condominium complex:
It is with profound sadness that the Bethel Police Department announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Lieutenant Kevin Kennedy (Ret.). LT Kennedy retired one year ago after 34 years of service to the Bethel Police Department, The Town of Bethel, and its citizens. Last night at approximately 9:00PM, Bethel Police responded to the Plumtrees Heights Condominium Complex after receiving a call from family concerning Kennedy’s welfare. Police responded and located Kennedy on the complex grounds. After a brief dialogue with the responding Bethel Officers, Kennedy shot himself using a personal firearm. Kennedy was transported to Danbury Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
