In the Library's Main Room, selected paintings from the artists of Society of Creative Arts of Newtown are on exhibit now until June 22.

From Bethel Public Library:
The Bethel Public Library welcomes everyone to visit and enjoy art and collectibles--inside and outside the Library! In the Library’s Main Room selected paintings from the artists of SCAN (Society of Creative Arts of Newtown) are on exhibit now until June 22. In the Maria Parloa Community Room, photographic images of the Horse Guard by Paula McDonagh are being displayed throughout May. This exhibit complements the May 16 program “Reckless, the Marine Corps Horse,” to be held at 6:30 pm in the Community Room. Also on the first floor, a collection of intricately cut paper, known as scherenschnitte, by Clare Detwiler is in the glass display case.
On the Library’s second floor, the geological treasures of Sara Eisenman are being displayed in the curio cabinet. The Reading Area Art Gallery space features watercolors by Stephanie Kix, now through June, in cooperation with the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut.
