Bethel Public Schools On Two-Hour Delay Tuesday, March 19

A late-winter storm is blowing through Bethel Tuesday, with between three to five inches of accumulation overnight.

Bethel public schools will be on a two-hour delay today -- Tuesday, March 19 -- as another late-winter storm passes through Bethel and other parts of western Connecticut. The National Weather Service says residents can expect overnight snowfall of between three to five inches.

  • Tuesday: Rain, freezing rain, and sleet, becoming all rain after noon. High near 41. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. West wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
