• Beloved Bethel Drive-In Closes After Lease Was Not Renewed (patch.com) — Bethel is saying goodbye to the Sycamore Drive-In, a beloved local landmark that closed Dec. 24 after its lease was not renewed, ending a run that began in 1948. Generations of Bethel families, longtime employees, and classic car fans remember it for its burgers, homemade root beer, Cruise Nights, and nostalgic 1950s atmosphere that helped define the town’s character for nearly 78 years.
