Rainy Day Paperback Exchange
Business Address
81 Greenwood Ave., Bethel
When and how did your business get started?
Original owner started it in 1985. I bought it from her daughter in 2002 after original owner passed away.
Why did you choose the town you chose to start your business in?
It was a business for sale in my hometown.
What is your business best known for?
Gently used books for children and adults. We allow people to trade in books for store credit towards purchasing other books.
We also have a dog! Sometimes people come in just to pet the dog.
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
We have an additional 4,000 or so books that we list on our website but don't normally have in the store. These are more unusual books we don't have people asking for as often, like medical books on a specific type of cancer, anthropological studies of specific tribes, etc. So people can order any of our books (rare or otherwise) and pick up in store in person the next business day.
How can people contact your business?

What is your business website address?

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?
We have a shared frequent buyer card with Redding Roasters (in the building behind us). Get a punch for each $10 spent at EITHER store. Get 5 punches and you can get $5 off at EITHER store.
