Bethel Town Official Resigns: report

The official's position had recently been turned into a full-time role.

Lawlor originally believed the $58,600 approved for the social services department would be her salary, but the town proposed a $51,000 per year salary plus benefits.

First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker called the issue "a misunderstanding." After Lawlor suggested working fewer hours during the slower periods for the department, Knickerbocker stated full-time employees are not allowed to work part-time hours during part of the year.
