Bethel's Latest Eatery Abruptly Shuts Down

Proof Bar & Cafe just opened in April, but has already closed its doors.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel's newest eatery is now also its latest casualty.

Proof Bar & Cafe, which opened on Greenwood Avenue and Front Street in downtown Bethel in April, abruptly announced it was shuttering its operations on a Facebook post made Tuesday afternoon.

"To everyone who supported our venture, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Unfortunately, Proof has to close its doors. It was a pleasure serving the Bethel community. It was a blast! Cheers to you all," the goodbye-post reads.
