Coronavirus Exposure Temporarily Closes Bethel Restaurant

A Bethel restaurant has closed down temporarily after a staff member was exposed to the coronavirus.

BETHEL, CT — A Barnum Square restaurant has closed down temporarily after a staff member was exposed to the coronavirus.

La Zingara Ristorante and its sister restaurant Ecco Rooftop Eatery and Bar announced the move late Friday morning on their Facebook page.

"Thankfully no other staff members are exhibiting symptoms and we all seem healthy. Out of abundance of caution and responsibility we have decided to temporarily close and have all our staff tested," the post said.

The owners plan to reopen once they receive negative results "and can guarantee a safe dining experience and work environment."

The last shift of the affected staff member was a week ago, according to the post, "so by the time results come in we will be over the 14 days too."
