Bethel Holds Downtown Tree Lighting

BETHEL, CT — Downtown Bethel's annual tree lighting and Winter Fest is on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 from 1-6 p.m. Attendees can take a ride around Historic Downtown Bethel in a horse drawn carriage, enjoy live music, stroll along and shop at all of the local merchants, and visit with Santa at the annual tree lighting ceremony.

The Chamber of Commerce worked with local businesses to create fun opportunities to encourage residents to shop local this holiday season. This year they have a baking contest and bake sale in addition to the horse drawn carriage rides, soups donated by local restaurants served by the Boy Scouts, s'mores around fire pits, hot cider and cocoa, performances and more leading up to the tree lighting by Santa.
