Firefighters Battle Early Morning Blaze In Bethel

Firefighters tackled a house fire in Bethel early Sunday morning.

BETHEL, CT — Firefighters tackled a house fire in Bethel early Sunday morning.

The Danbury Fire Department was called in to assist with a structure fire on Route 302 by Bethel Fire & EMS shortly after 6 a.m., DFD officials posted on social media.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by 8 a.m., according to fire officials, but overhaul continued into the morning.

Also summoned to the scene were Danbury Professional Firefighters, Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, Dodgingtown Fire Volunteer Fire Company, Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company, Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Company and West Redding Volunteer Fire Company.
