In Memoriam: Frank Comer, 85, 'Jack of All Trades'
A disc jockey, plant manager and tax preparer over the course of his life, Comer leaves a wife, three children and six grandchildren.

Francis “Frank” Comer, 85, of Bethel, husband of Mary (Turner) Comer died on Monday morning, April 8, 2013 at Masonicare of Newtown.
Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY, April 3, 1928, a son of Francis M. and Violet May (McGregor) Comer. Raised in Ozone Park, NY, he attended St. John’s Preparatory School and graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
A resident of the area since 1950 coming from Ozone Park, Frank was first employed as a disc jockey and salesman with Radio Station WLAD of Danbury. Later, Frank was employed with Amphenol RF Products Corporation where he was a plant manager and vice president of manufacturing. Upon his retirement from Amphenol RF Products Corporation, Mr. Comer became a tax preparer with H & R Block for three years at their Bethel location and manager for eight years of their Danbury location.
He was regarded a jack of all trades and a member of the Church of St. Mary of Bethel.
In addition to his wife of thirty four years, he is survived by a son, Thomas R. Comer; two daughters, Kathleen Francis and Tiffany Shaw and her partner, Jennifer Schmidt-Shaw; a brother, James Comer; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Comer was predeceased by a daughter, Heidi Shaw.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10 AM in the Church of St. Mary, Bethel with Rev. Cory V. Piccinino, Pastor officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
