'Justice For Noodledork:' Bethel Police Seek Cat Assailant
Police say cat Noodledork was shot in the area of Fleetwood Park. $6,000 later he is on the mend. His owners are grateful, but not happy...
BETHEL, CT — Police are seeking the public's assistance tracking down a person they say shot a cat with an air pellet gun last week.
Cat Noodledork was shot in the area of Fleetwood Park area around 8 p.m. last Wednesday, police said. The incident was reported the next day by the cat's owners, the Bodner family.
The cat required extensive veterinary care at Newtown Veterinary Specialist, who were able to remove the pellet, wire his leg back together, and set it in a cast.

The family crowdfunded the cat's vet bills, turning to GoFundMe to help pay the $6,000 for his overnight stay and surgery. The campaign has been continued, in the hopes of covering the loans necessary to pay the vet's bill promptly.
"After speaking with neighbors after the incident, others have reported the same fate for their cats," campaign organizer Mindi Sanger posted to the GoFundMe page. "There is a monster living in the community and going after helpless animals."
