Motorist Hospitalized With Serious Injuries Following Bethel Crash: PD

One motorist was seriously injured in a single-car crash on Friday, Bethel police are reporting.

DANBURY, CT — One motorist was seriously injured in a single-car crash on Friday, police are reporting.

Emergency crews responded to the report of a serious crash on Route 302 eastbound in the straight away before Shelley Road around 7 a.m. to find the motorist trapped inside the car.

Members of the Bethel Fire Department and Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company worked to secure the car, prep it, and remove a door.

The vehicle's driver and sole occupant was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and the roadway was cleared after an on-scene investigation, police said.

Police are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the accident contact the Bethel Police Department at 203-744-7900.
