New Details in Bethel Man's Home Invasion: Report
Police say Mark Benoit forced his way into a home on Bridle Lane and fought with people in the home.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Donning a black ski mask, Mark Benoit of Bethel forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's Bridle Lane home on June 12 because he was angry about her new relationship, according to court documents cited in a report by the News Times. He then proceeded to fight with the woman's new boyfriend, who pinned Benoit to a table against the living room.
Police say Benoit also had a black-handled knife, rope and zip ties. Police also allege Benoit was combative and refused to comply with officers' requests.
Benoit finally allowed officers to take him into custody after they ordered a K-9 attack. He later told police he had taken "a lot" of Klonopin.
