Together with her husband they were dedicated members of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of Danbury, and for many years could be seen in the kitchen making their coveted stuffed cabbage, pierogis, and poppy seed bread for bake-sales. Connie was an avid reader of novels, enjoyed games, music, travel, and loved dancing with her husband John. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, where she would never let anyone go hungry – cooking her family-favorite lasagna and Italian wedding soup. Later in life, she cherished her time with her three great-grandchildren, singing, playing, and laughing with them in complete adoration.

Connie was predeceased by her son Gary Somoskovec, and two brothers, Rosario and Samuel Magri. She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Somoskovec) Gasper and her husband Tony, and two sons, John Somoskovec and Robert Somoskovec; two siblings, Jeanette Naples, and Jim Magri and wife Helen; four grandchildren, James Van Campen and his wife Leslie Blatteau, Alicia Van Campen and her husband Jason Bischoff-Wurstle, Tyler Somoskovec and Cody Somoskovec; three great-grandchildren, Francine Van Campen, Samuel and June Wurstle; and many nieces and nephews.
