Obituary: Frances C. Brown, 100, Of Bethel

BETHEL, CT — Frances C. Brown, 100, of Bethel, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024 at the Bethel Health Care Center.

Frances was born April 23rd, 1923 in Danbury, the daughter of Felice and Maria Lariccia. She grew up in Danbury and some of her fondest moments were working at her family’s restaurant, The El Dorado, with her parents and siblings. Frances was a wonderful chef and known throughout the family for her excellent cooking. She worked several other jobs including the kitchen at the Rogers Park Middle School, where she retired at the age of 87. Frances was predeceased by her husband Edward, as well as her sisters Susan and Carmela and brothers John and Domonic. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Bethel, Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. There are no calling hours. The Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel is handling arrangements.
