Obituary: John "Jay" Fagan III, 61, Formerly Of Bethel

John “Jay” Fagan, III, age 61 of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Bethel, passed away peacefully Friday, September 22, 2017 in Florida. He was the husband of Barbara (Freeborn) Fagan.

Jay was born in Bronx, NY, June 9, 1956, son of the late John J. Fagan, Jr and Eileen (Schaeffer) Fagan. He had been Data Center Operations Supervisor at Praxair in Danbury, where he had worked for 32 years before retiring.

Besides his wife of 29 years, he is survived by sons: John J. Fagan, IV of NY, Christopher Sanford of CT, Kevin Fagan and his wife Rhiana of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren: Madison Sanford, Lucas and Olivia Fagan; his sisters: Linda Squires and her husband Harry, Patricia Haight and her husband Robert “Chip”, and he was blessed with many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family

The funeral will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Friday morning at 11:00, with the Rev. Norma Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.

The family received friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, Thursday, Sept. 28.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
