Obituary: Kathleen Marie (Meredith) Dragone, 58, Of Bethel

BETHEL, CT — Kathleen Marie (Meredith) Dragone, 58, of Bethel, died peacefully in her home on Nov. 17, 2023. Born in Williamsport, PA on May 30, 1965, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Ronald L. and Nielin L. Meredith of Williamsport. After graduating from Montoursville High School, she moved to Newtown, where she was employed at Danbury Printing & Litho while pursuing a degree in computer science. While employed, she met and married her surviving husband Michael J. Dragone in November 1987. They settled in Bethel, where they have lived for 36 years, and raised their son Gaeton L. Dragone.
After Kathleen married, she balanced being a wife and mother with various endeavors, which included creating her own software design company, and the working with the Bethel Visiting Nurses Association. Kathleen loved her family & friends with all her heart. She was passionate about many things, especially helping others, taking care of her flowers & plants, researching her family history and feeding wild birds, including her favorite hummingbirds. She was also devoted to her pet Italian Greyhounds, and strongly supported pet charities, including the Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS).

Survivors include her husband of 36 years Michael J. Dragone of Bethel, her son Gaeton L. Dragone of New Milford, sister Rhonda Speh (and husband Tony) of Port Orange Florida, brother William Meredith (and partner Michele Boyles) of Montoursville, PA, parents in law Tom and Georgine Dragone of Jacksonville, FL, sister-in-law Michele Frish (and husband Kurt) of Wetherford, TX, brother-in-law Thomas Dragone (and wife Connie) of New Milford, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in her memory to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS).
The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 from noon to 2:00 p.m.
