Obituary: Manju Singh, 74, Of Bethel

BETHEL, CT — Manju Singh, of Bethel, passed away on Dec. 29, 2023, at Danbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years of age and lived in Bethel for almost 40 years.

Born in Delhi, she studied at Delhi University earning a master’s degree in political science. Manju came to the United States in 1980, along with her husband Rama and her two children. She worked at Photronics in Brookfield for some years. She loved cooking, gardening and walking, and most of all meeting her friends. She built a close-knit community of friends wherever she went, from walks around the neighborhood to the gym.

Manju will be remembered for her positive and uplifting spirit. She would always spread and share joy and cheer with a smile on her face. Always a positive force, she was strong, hardworking, and an extremely compassionate person.

She is survived by her husband Rama, her daughter Reena, her son Vishu, four grandchildren and three siblings who will greatly miss her. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the overwhelming support, prayers, and love received from family and friends. This love and support is proof of the strength of the bonds she created and nurtured during her life.

A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at in the Honan Funeral Home.
