One Injured Following Truck Crash, Fuel Spill In Bethel

The injured driver was taken to Danbury Hospital.

BETHEL, CT — A pickup truck ended up inside a water-filled ditch by the side of Route 53 Friday morning.

Crews from Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company helped the injured driver — the truck's sole occupant — get to safety, before transporting him to Danbury Hospital.

Personnel remained on the scene to clean up a fuel spill in the water.
