Over 5,500 Without Power In Bethel

UPDATE: Eversource is reporting 5,617 power outages in Bethel as of 9:45 p.m. which represents 62 percent of the town.

BETHEL, CT — Utility company Eversource reported that 5,578 customers are without power in the town as Tropical Storm Isaias moves across the state shortly after 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

The worst of the storm has moved through Connecticut, but not before leaving a big impact. Widespread tree damage was reported, but rain and flooding was less of a worry thanks to the storm's quick speed.
